Lithuanian Ombudsperson for children’s rights makes a notice on decision to liquidate Children’s maintenance fund

2011-12-13 Ombudsperson for children’s rights addressed chairperson of Lithuanian Parliament and chairman of Social affairs and labour committee. An ombudsperson noticed that decision to liquidate Children’s maintenance fund does not meet the best interest of a child, state’s obligations for international organizations and community. By taking any actions that may affect children’s rights the principle of child’s interest priority must be followed.
