Hearings on the activities of child welfare committees in municipal administrations
On 7th March advisor of the Ombudsperson for children’s rights E. Meilus and senior advisor A. Bedorf participated in hearings on the work of municipal administration child welfare commissions implementing the law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Minimum and average child care, organised by Drug and Alcohol Prevention Commission of Seimas. In hearings the problems on applying minimum and average care measures, the improvement possibilities on Law of Minimum and average child care and other relevant issues were discussed. The event was attended by representatives of Municipality administration child welfare committees, child socialization centers, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Social Security and Labour, Association of Lithuanian Municipalities, National Courts Administration and other institutions.
